Triptych
2022, film essay, 8 minThe project presents a conceptual and visual dialogue between Swiss artist Urs Fischer’s monumental sculpture Big Clay #4, installed in Moscow, and the tradition of the triptych. Rooted in religious and allegorical art, the triptych structures the narratives across three interconnected panels, creating a rhythmic progression of tension and resolution. But here, Big Clay #4, with its raw, gestural form and imposing scale, unexpectedly transforms this format — from a sequence of images to a monolithic sculptural entity. And so, it’s a paradox — an object suspended between process and completion.
