In 2019 the highest cross in Russia was installed at the entrance to Krasnoyarsk. Six months later, the cross turned out to be "an antenna-mast structure in the shape of a cross". The author investigates how this event is connected with the works of the Lithosphere Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. 35 years ago, the Laboratory of Biosphere Research studied ways to protect soils from erosion, gypsum solonetzes, liming acidic soils, and at the same time, with the help of electric field gamma sensors, found out that the cross is the best antenna. These reports were sent to the State Agro-Industrial Committee of the USSR, and according to the reports the decisions were made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
